well they say practice makes perfect, so that's what we did.
we have the set decided now, we have the order, and we are practicing that and that only.
we started the evening with a run through of the set, followed by some pictures that include our new member, followed by a chat about some proposals put forward to us by our potential manager then went into the set twice through full pelt as if we were playing live.
we played hard and it felt good.... its been so long since ive played songs with the venom we showed. the songs are sounding good, the band dynamic is perfect and looks like things are coming together.
as it turns out, we will be back in the room tommorrow for our first double practice week.
the reason for this is WE HAVE A GIG!!!!.
i returned home to find we had been offered a show, only the portland but we decided for shits and giggles we should do it. strictly speaking we are not fully ready, but its part of the fun, the danger... we did the same thing last year and it turned out to be a good gig, i think the pressure brings out a bit more in you, so this year we hope history repeats.. should be a good night, a good practice for things to come.
stay tuned
